EC/Russia agreement on cooperation in science and technology: renewal

PURPOSE : to conclude the Agreement aimed at renewing the Agreement on cooperation in science and technology between the European Community and the Government of the Russian Federation. LEGISLATIVE ACT : Council Decision 2003/798/EC concerning the conclusion of an Agreement aimed at renewing the Agreement on cooperation in science and technology between the European Community and the Government of the Russian Federation. CONTENT : the Agreement aimed at renewing the Agreement on cooperation in science and technology between the European Community and the Government of the Russian Federation for an additional period of five years is hereby approved on behalf of the Community. ENTRY INTO FORCE : 5 June 2003. The existing Agreement, which entered into force in May 2001, was concluded for an initial period until 31 December 2002, renewable by common agreement for additional period of five years, therefore 1 January 2003 until 31 December 2007.�
