The committee adopted the own-initiative report by Antoine DUQUESNE (ALDE, BE) on the exchange of information and intelligence concerning terrorist offences. It formulated a number of recommendations to the Council proposing to combat terror in a more proactive manner through a systematic and coordinated approach. The report called on the Council to adopt a handbook of good practice for police officers, with fundamental principles guiding the exchange of information, and to establish an instrument to facilitate the transfer of intelligence.
