Request for defence of parliamentary immunity of Mr Umberto Bossi

 The committee adopted the report by Diana WALLIS (ALDE, UK) proposing that Parliament should defend the immunity and privileges of a former Member of the European Parliament, Umberto BOSSI, in the proceedings brought by the Brescia District Court and the Bergamo District Court. However, the committee decided to recommend that Parliament should not defend the immunity and privileges of Mr Bossi in connection with the criminal proceedings pending before the Magistrates' Court in Milan.
