Vehicles hired without drivers: use for the carriage of goods by road (repeal. Directive 84/647/EEC). Codification

PURPOSE: to codify Directive 84/647 on the use of vehicles hired without drivers for the carriage of goods by road.

LEGISLATIVE ACT: Directive 2006/0001 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the use of vehicles hired without drivers for the carriage of goods by road.

CONTENT: For the sake of clarity, rationalisation and simplification Council Directive 84/647 is hereby codified. The Directive should be without prejudice to the obligations of the Member States concerning the time-limits for transposition into national law of the Directives set out in Annex I Part B.

Directive 84/647 is now repealed, without prejudice to the obligations of the Member States relating to the time-limits for transposition into national law of the Directives listed in Annex I, Part B.
