PURPOSE : to codify legislation on pollution caused by certain dangerous substances discharged into the aquatic environment of the Community.

LEGISLATIVE ACT : Directive 2006/11/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on pollution caused by certain dangerous substances discharged into the aquatic environment of the Community (Codified version)

CONTENT : This Directive codifies and repeals Council Directive 76/464/EEC on pollution caused by certain dangerous substances discharged into the aquatic environment of the Community, which has been significantly amended on several occasions. This new Directive supersedes the various acts incorporated in it. It fully preserves the content of the acts being codified and hence does no more than bring them together with only such formal amendments as are required by the codification exercise itself.
