PURPOSE: to oblige Member States to maintain minimum stocks of crude oil and/or petroleum products.
LEGISLATIVE ACT: Council Directive 2006/67/EC of 24 July 2006 imposing an obligation on Member States to maintain minimum stocks of crude oil and/or petroleum products (codified version).
CONTENT: The Council adopted a Directive (codified version) obliging Member States to maintain a minimum level of stocks of crude oil and/or petroleum products.
This Directive codifies and repeals directive 68/414/EEC, substituting the various acts incorporated in it by bringing them together with only such amendments as are required by the codification exercise itself.
