Silkworm rearing. Codification

PURPOSE: to codify Regulation 845/72/EEC.

LEGISLATIVE ACT: Council Regulation 1544/2006/EC laying down special measures to encourage silkworm rearing.

CONTENT: in order to simplify and clarify Community law, the Commission decided, on 1 April 1987, to instruct its staff that all legislative acts should be codified after no more than ten amendments.

The purpose of this legislative act is to undertake a codification of Regulation 845/72/EEC laying down special measures to encourage silkworm rearing. The new Regulation supersedes the various acts incorporated in it and fully preserves the content of the acts being codified. Hence it does no more than bring them together with only such formal amendments as are required by the codification exercise itself.
