ACT: to codify provisions on fixing and granting adjusted refunds on cereals exported in the form of certain spirit drinks.

CONTENT: in the interests of clarity and rationality this Act codifies provisions set out in Commission Regulation 2825/93/EEC laying down certain detailed rules for the application of Council Regulation 1766/92/EEC as regards the fixing and granting of adjusted refunds in respect of cereals exported in the form of certain spirit drinks.

The purpose of these Regulations is to set out detailed rules for fixing and granting export refunds for cereals exported in the form of spirit drinks and for which a compulsory ageing period of at least three years is part of the manufacturing process. The spirits referred to are set out in Article 16 of Regulation 1784/2003/EC and include Scotch whiskey, Irish whiskey and Spanish whiskey.
