PURPOSE: to codify legislation on the production and marketing of eggs for hatching and of farmyard poultry chicks.
PROPOSED ACT: Council Regulation.
CONTENT: the purpose of this proposal is to undertake a codification of Regulation 2782/75/EEC of the Council of 29 October 1975 on the production and marketing of eggs for hatching and of farmyard poultry chicks. The new Regulation will supersede the various acts incorporated in it; this proposal fully preserves the content of the acts being codified and hence does no more than bringing them together with only such formal amendments as are required by the codification exercise itself.
