Carriage of goods by road (repeal. Directive 62/2005/EEC). Codification

PURPOSE: codification of legislation.

LEGISLATIVE ACT: Directive 2006/94/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on the establishment of common rules for certain types of carriage of goods by road (codified version).

CONTENT: the purpose of this Directive is to undertake a codification of the First Council Directive of 23 July 1962 on the establishment of common rules for certain types of carriage of goods by road. The new Directive will supersede the various acts incorporated in it.

This Directive fully preserves the content of the acts being codified and hence does no more than bring them together with only such formal amendments as are required by the codification exercise itself.
